Plant Based No Oils Omelette – Fritter Recipe
I love a savory breakfast and this is awesome cooked up on my Zojirushi Griddle . it is an oil & egg free dish that will certainly satisfy your desires for a savory breakfast. The base is chickpea flour. The secret ingredient is Kala Namak, a stinky salt that will impart an egg flavor. OK, the salt doesn’t really stink but has a slight eggy / sulphur smell. These can be made in a large batch and froze so you can heat & eat in the morning. I put beet greens, kale, cilantro, tomatoes & onions in mine.
Plant Based No Oils Omelette - Fritter Recipe
- 1 cup plant milk
- 3/4 cup chickpea flour
- 1/2 tsp kala namak salt
- 1 tsp powdered onion
- 1 tsp powdered garlic ( or fresh )
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 cup fresh veggies / greens
Sweet potato hash browns
- 1/2 medium sweet potato
Preheat cooking pan or griddle. Chop all veggies, combine dry ingredients. Add plant milk and combine well till no large dry lumps. Add veggies. Cook over medium heat. Turn after 4-5 minutes. Cook for 4 minutes until golden brown and firm in the middle. Serve with salsa or hot sauce.
